Catherine + GP’s Royal Inspired Milwaukee Wedding at St. James 1868

A Royal Love Story

Catherine + GP’s gorgeous wedding in The Abbey of St. James 1868 holds a special place in our entire team's hearts. After multiple years of renovation amidst a pandemic, Catherine + GP’s September nuptials breathed a breath of fresh air into our space. When repurposing and restoring St. James 1868, weddings like Catherine + GP’s are exactly what Kate Crowle, Owner + Lead Designer, envisioned. Romance and Elegance being at the forefront!

Their unforgettable ceremony and reception in The Abbey of St. James 1868 was purely perfection. Featuring a romantic first touch in the English courtyard, a gleeful dance party between Catherine and her bridal party in the Duchess Suite, an absolutely captivating first look down our 72 ft. aisle, heartfelt vows that had everyone in tears (including our team!), a dance party throughout their reception in The Abbey, and of course a glamorous sparkler send-off!

Everything about their day completely encompassed European elegance and romance. The entire St. James 1868 team is honored to have been a part of Catherine + GP’s fairytale day celebrating true love.

Cheers to love, laughter, and happily ever after!

“The best decision of my wedding experience (besides my husband of course!) was choosing St James as our wedding venue. It is a beautiful and unique space that will remain classic until the end of time. I loved not having to worry about weather for our ceremony or reception, but still got to enjoy the court yard for our cocktail hour. Our guests were blown away by the beauty and grand-ness of the Abbey and loved not having to switch venues between the ceremony and reception. It photographed beautifully and had more than enough space for our 180 person guest list . It is also in a perfect location! More than half of our wedding came from all over the country and world and loved Milwaukee! Some have even booked trips back because they loved the city so much. Perfect location for a fun filled wedding weekend. Thank you for helping make my dream wedding St James team!”
